Paint contains solvent, a chemical that is hazardous when inhaled, and it also contributes to air pollution and ozone depletion. On the other hand, the dust that’s used in powder coating can be safely eliminated by exhaust filters.Lonnie Summerallhttp://www.advancedsurfacefinishing.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083555970518014868.post-88191205675110295632012-06-28T17:29:29.333-04:002012-06-28T17:29:29.333-04:00Its true, the competition between renewable and li...Its true, the competition between renewable and limited resources is completely unbalanced. All three of these products came from the same guy. He first brought Richlite to market as a architectural surface over ten years ago, he left Richlite to create truly green products & he made Paperstone. He has since sold off the Paperstone product & created a new and much improved product called EcoTop.

EcoTop is made from 100% FSC certified recycled fiber & rapidly renewable bamboo fiber with a 100% water based resin that is totoally UV stable. The other two products use a phenolic resin that is methenol based & is not light fast at all. As for being green there is a better option out there at this time.Seattle Designernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2083555970518014868.post-36182277518439287692009-07-09T10:52:05.533-04:002009-07-09T10:52:05.533-04:00Seems that Paperstone is doing some good work. When you consider the amount of energy and pollution that is generated in the production of paper, transportation of paper to printers, energy used to print, bind, and ship the final product to warehouses, and finally distribute the printed matter to the end user, (most of it ends up in land fills), all of which consumes gasoline, then yes, digital signage is much "greener"

When you put these factors into consideration along with emerging technologies like OLED digital signage is a green choice.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
